William was born in New Haven, CT, and admitted to the bar in Connecticut, December 1985, U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, January 1986.

John L. Cipriano Jr.

John L. Cipriano Jr.

John is a founding member of the firm and has been a lawyer for 35 years. His areas of practice include Collections, Real Estate, Estate Planning and Probate, and Business Law. His collection practice includes statewide representation of leading companies in the healthcare, banking, and credit union industries.
He has lectured to the regional creditor and hospital audiences regarding collection practices and laws and has prepared and presented material through Lorman Education Services, a national continuing education provider.
John is also a co-author of the book “Connecticut Closing Practice (a Lawyers Guide to Residential Real Estate Closings With Forms)” published by The Atlantic Law Book Company.
Ian G. Gottlieb

Ian G. Gottlieb

Ian G. Gottlieb has been a partner in the Law Firm since 2015 and focuses his practice on landlord-tenant matters and residential and commercial leases.
He represents parties in real estate transactions for purchases, sales, and refinances. He maintains an active litigation practice involving general practice areas with regard to all of his clients’ needs. He provides business advice to his clients for all aspects of transactions and litigation when necessary to protect their best interests and ensuring that they are in proper compliance with state and federal laws. Prior to his current position, he had provided representation to several insurance companies. He is admitted to practice in both the state and federal courts of Connecticut.
Ian received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from C.W. Post University in Long Island, NY. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac University in 2002. 
Keith A. Hathaway

Keith A. Hathaway

Keith A. Hathaway has been practicing law since 2003. He started his career working for some of the larger law firms in Connecticut, focusing his practice on commercial and residential real estate transactions. He founded Hathaway Law Offices in 2006 where he continued to focus on real estate law while developing additional expertise in the areas of personal injury and family law. After nearly 10 years as a solo practitioner, Keith joined the Gambardella, Cipriano, Gottlieb & Hathaway, PC as a partner in April of 2016. He currently leads the real estate arm of the firm with a focus on making the transactions for each and every client as stress-free as possible.
Prior to practicing law, Keith earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and his Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac University. In addition to his academic achievements, Keith has dedicated a large part of his life to the Boy Scouts of America, earning his Eagle award, and enjoys all aspects of fitness and martial arts.
Keith A. Hathaway

Nicole Barillaro

Attorney Barillaro began her career in New York, working in the Private Wealth Management industry. During this time, she researched and advised on tax-efficient investment structures, SEC compliance and legal issues relative to marketing of investment products. While attending law school at night, Attorney Barillaro served as Compliance Manager and Legal Analyst in the New York office of a shari’ah compliant investment fund headquartered in the Kingdom of Bahrain. 

Upon graduating from New York Law School and passing the New York bar, Attorney Barillaro accepted an opportunity with the General Counsel at Beachwold Residential, a boutique Real Estate Investment and Management firm with 40 properties and more than 12,000 multi-family units in Connecticut, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, Maryland, Tennessee and Virginia.
In 2016, after passing the Connecticut bar, Attorney Barillaro served as Campaign Manager for a sixth-term State Legislator seeking re-election. She built a broad grassroots campaign focused on the issues, and ultimately secured a seventh term for her candidate.
Attorney Barillaro is passionate about public service and giving back to her community, serving on non-profit boards such as the Women & Families Center, where she also serves as Treasurer, and the Meriden Children First Initiative.
